CatMonarchy Some of the best prog post-hardcore and just post-hardcore in general you'll find around today. Favorite track: ILearntToStopAsking.
Matt Marder

Matt Marder Honestly one of my favorite bands right now, I'm really happy to see a full-length out. YWAG have this powerful and emotionally engrossing vibe that's super refreshing even in a genre famous for pushing boundaries. You guys make me feel! Favorite track: Grace & Focus.

DonnieDarko Following those guys for years, finally they have put out a new album, loving it, great math rock/metal, but not the kind that makes you dizzy, they do not forget how to write good songs!

Mottchew Refreshing. Powerful. Though-provoking... A breath of fresh and new in the underground music scene. LOVE!

We are very pleased to be able to finally share our newest material.
Anonymity is a collection of our best work to date and we feel that these tracks really showcase who we are as a band.

The album is an expansion of our previous EP and is driven by a central theme of examining some of the more negative aspects of the human persona. We've taken influence from all sorts of different places and styles, and we think that the progressive nature of our songs really helps to showcase our collective experience.

Produced, mixed and mastered by Oz Craggs at Hidden Track Studios.

And so we find ourselves again, Amid the battleground. Dressing words up in uniforms. Funny, we left all the facts, With the sick and wounded. Don't you think? Twisting, turning round and round we go... You spit through your teeth, And it's clear to me, The flame is lit. Painful to the touch, but a sight to admire. You glow so hot, a coal in the fire. Your brightest ideas will burn into ash. I stare around at all the ghosts Of conversations. All the misquotes and ammunition. Grinning demons making plans They treat words with care, Don't you think? You spit through your teeth, And it's clear to see, The flame is lit. Painful to the touch, but a sight to admire. You glow so hot, a coal in the fire. Your brightest ideas will burn into ash. Stop it right there. You're a fucking mess. Take a step back, look at you. What is this now? This strained truce. Pull back, pull back! Pull back, for god's sake man! Burn With total focus on the end, it's time to relieve the casualties. We never think about the truth, it's far too complicated. Don't you think? Is it worth it just to pull the rest apart? No soul. Is it worth it just to pull the rest apart?

Equal parts rush and regret A perfect contradiction. I'm the model serial killer, the epitome of doublethink, the extraverted agoraphobic, the pious physicist. and you deserve me. Yes, I can see light, but I don't see my guide. The jungle's too dense. I am purpose, more grace than focus; I try to pretend, or at least pretend to try. It's toxic but It's so worth it It's just damage It's so worth it Experiment, tesselate the asymptotes; we see design. I deserve you. We're the answer, glimpsing the amorous apparition that haunts us. We're dependant, No two built anything, as fractured. Yes, I've got the recipe, but I'm no cook. We poison the cups (and grasp at the wasted feast) Blamed and blameless, more grace than focus; we tried to pretend, pretended to try. It's toxic but It's still worth it It's just damage It's still worth it

(Uninhibited) You're a monologue, you're a suit without seams. (Talk yourself to bed) The compliments flow back and forth, so easily (Morning takes her name) Don't fret, it matters not, there'll be a hundred just like her. (Incompatible) I watch the play from my seat And they say "try not to care, You have a life to admire". But I can't understand. We don't talk, we don't fight, we don't have to stand up so tall. (The chase is done) A badly timed curtain call. (When it matters most) It's everything, to crave assurance you don't need. (Inauthentic wit) Hesitance can wash away, So easily. (a small price to pay) To watch your decency lost. The punters all see, the staff hold the scenery This is a play, with the audience on stage. And they say "try not to care" but I do. It gets harder and harder And they say "try not to care, You have a life to admire". But I can't understand. We don't talk, we don't fight, we don't have to stand up so tall. (The chase is done) A badly timed curtain call. Pick it up Take it into you Miserable pull and spit It's contemptible Visceral and vile I find myself incompatible with your collateral.

I force your (your mouth) into these shapes, and then I hate to watch your lonely play. I'm hanging from your vocal chords, and I'm going to kick away the chair. Don't let the end eclipse the start, I'm here because I want to be. But I see you impassioned and red between the sheets. If I look closer I'll fall right through. I force your mouth, into these shapes, and then I hate to watch your lonely play. I'm hanging from your vocal chords, and I'm gonna fucking kick away the chair. We didn't know, We'd led a wolf to sheep. And I still smell the blood on you coat. My cure is in the increased dose. It's a pointless way to feel complete. At that time we all had to know you. It felt so good to be an informant. Think again. Tell me of your past just constantly asking and hungry for solace but fearing responses pushing you to speak the words that come so bleak please don't answer me Questions more questions catharsis receding I'm clawing and fighting but always believing that somehow just maybe she'll lie or avoid it I learnt to stop asking I watch your stomach, force it's way through, your teeth. "Fill her up boys she'll do fifty-to-the-gallon - the miles on the clock measure distance, not time" (can't stop asking) Consequences hanging in the stars but you won't admit they exist, It's a matter of time for this.

You sit back, you shake your head, “Just don’t lie”, So I don’t, I keep my mouth shut. (Keep my mouth shut) Do you see the way, I can’t meet your eyes today, Not that it makes a difference, (but) surely you won’t push the point, I keep myself from my best. If the troubles on my shoulders, Could be worth their weight in gold, I’d still die with my problems, A frail mind, but rich and old, It’s the ringing in my ears at night, It’s the tightness in my chest, The pressure in my head constricts, This frail mind. You’re not there, don’t shake your head, “I won’t lie”, So I don’t, I keep my mouth shut. And I swear I’m not coming back, Goodbye. Just try to trust me, it’s easy. You’re all shaken up. You try to restrain me, I can’t open up to you… I try. Burn, this place will burn So cover your eyes tonight. Can’t meet your eyes today. Not that it makes a difference, But surely you won’t push the point. I have to be anything, anywhere but here. Far away from these blue walls, And my distinct lack of clarity.

Counting down from 10, This goliath breathes in. He looks up and stares around, "Join me and sow new ground." No, more, deficient ideas, And dirty, torrid, frantic mistakes They shake their heads and say Be a realist, sir. Don't think, just talk Then close the door and breathe. Don't think, just talk You trace the line to where it all began But the ink doesn't flow. Still silence speaks volumes to me. Desperate to form your brave new world. All your work, swept to the waves and lost. Did you think that you'd make change? [We won't change] You're here to soak up the moral debt, straw man. [easily burned] New low; they pick at you Stripped bare; they'll come for you New low; you stare at you Time to go.
7.
See their mechanical lives, the faithful tired. Cannibals frowns in ties the empathy in the middle. Concentrate, apply the right pressure and watch. You've made a fool out of your peers this term. You've exceeded their expectations, now it's time to talk. You're so wrapped up in your work, you can't work for yourself. This won't do. Push them around, obsequious clowns, and rinse. I will be the best I will run this place. See their mechanical lives, the faithful tired. Cannibals frowns in ties the empathy in the middle. Mechanised lives Dull worker bees fly to serve If they don't want to be controlled Then why's it so easy? Sullen sketch, rorschach test, bowing low, fetch a chair, conference call, conscience call, strong survive, tax bonus, my reward, dirty tricks, push harder, reach the top. Why do you insist? It's pointless; buying lines to fit your face. If you don't want to be controlled why do you make it so easy for them to achieve?

Anonymity 07:43
The rhetoric of hate Has worked its way subtlely into your mouth. Do you see? Can you hear? Don't you feel? Altruism's dead. Empathy; that tiresome, foreign syntax. A wholesome meal for a "self made man" Fed from a silver trough, A dish fit for a tyrant. This world is crumbling fast There's so little feeling left Its sickening. Avatars, diatribes, anonymity, pushing chemicals. I can hardly hold my head up, The ground we share is anything but safe, And it's taking all my effort, To remind myself the camera's not rolling. I can't sleep, knowing they can, Beside their green dreams/their red thoughts/their weapons/their stubborn blindness. I can't sleep, knowing they can, Beside their green dreams/their red thoughts/their weapons/their stubborn blindness (Their Blindness). I'm so afraid (I’m so fucking afraid) we've passed the point of no return. It's too late for us (too late). It's dead, we're dead, altruism's dead.
